Winter on Fifth Avenue II

The bottom of an art deco building, the Empire State Building silhouetted in a winter sky, the Plaza gleaming white above the trees that border Fifth Avenue and Central Park. Throw in some period autos, gas lamps, a carriage, and a panoply of color that captures the vibrancy of the city during a winter twilight, you have the essence of Patrick Antonelle’s art in one image. New York, nostalgia, peace, beauty, human activity and spirit are all gleaned in this magnificent picture.
